Jan Gero documents his intense life experience as a European-American New Yorker in quest for self-discovery, romance and cultural connection. He expresses his eighty-five year-old hard-won grip on the human condition in an inner monologue documentary video-journal – ‘the compulsive new yorker’ which currently broadcasts its 145th episode on MNN4-culture channel every Saturday in New York. His ‘inward journey’ weekly video-blog is in its fourth year and 232nd episode. And in Gero\'s two self-published books \'me on me\' and \'more me on me\' are autobiographical stories from fifty years of journal making. One of his films ‘I’m Taking Tango Lessons’ was licensed to WNET, Metro Arts and other PBS affiliates in 2003-4, his two autobiographical films aired 2007 and 2017 on MNN4 broadcast channel, and one of his short films ‘A Marriage’ was shown at the LI International Film Festivals 2010.
